Bienville (Blend for Espresso or Filter) – Whole Bean
About this coffee:
BIENVILLE // Nutty, Chocolate, Traditional
Bienville is our nod to Mobile’s French roots. Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville, the founder of Mobile, was born in 1680 and was appointment Governor of French Louisiana four separate times during 1701–1743. In 1702, he moved his colony to Fort Louis on Mobile Bay, and in 1711 it was established at the present site of Mobile, Alabama. In 1718, he went on to found another famously French-influenced city, New Orleans, and in 1767 he died in Paris.
Bienville is a blend that explores and builds upon what coffee has been historically. It is our “classic” profile, designed for everyday drinkability without compromising quality flavor or imparting bitterness in the roasting process. It’s a medium roast, heavy-bodied and chocolatey, with a relatively low acidity.
It’s recommended for drinking black or with cream, and as an alternative espresso option to our La Maison blend.
Nutty, Chocolate, Traditional.
We roast every Monday and Thursday for online orders; any orders placed before 6 PM on a given Sunday will be roasted and shipped out the following day (Monday). Any orders placed between 6 PM on Sunday and 6PM on a given Wednesday will be roasted and shipped out the following day (Thursday).
In other words, 6PM the day before a roast day is our cutoff for that roast day. We are happy to answer any questions about our roast schedule at firstname.lastname@example.org!
Also, please note that all coffees will ship whole bean. We aren't set up with the means to grind commercially for orders, but for locals we are happy to grind single bags at our roastery.
